Movement

I have been organizing and educating within and showing up to support movements for housing, decriminalization, abolition, racial justice, participatory democracy, and international solidarity for two decades.

As part of this work, I have co-founded and helped lead multiple organizations, including the Nashville People’s Budget Coalition, Middle Tennessee Christians for Justice in Palestine, Showing Up for Racial Justice Nashville, and Homes for All Nashville. I have also helped lead successful organizing efforts including Democracy Nashville’s Ban the Box campaign and participated in successful organizing efforts including Community Oversight Now’s community oversight board campaign.

In addition to participation and leadership in social movement building and organizing in Nashville, I have been a member of mutually supportive spiritual community inside Middle Tennessee prisons since 2009.
